How did we decide that pizza and wine was for dinner tonight? Well, the entire week of Valentine’s day is and always has been crazy for me! Along with adding awesome stuff to this website, I’m also a server. So between helping my 5th grader get all of his cards and goodies ready for his class and the party, keeping my chores around the house done, and work, shew! I’m beat!
On top of it all, a really sweet friend of my daughters showed up unexpectedly after school. It starts out with “Can we hang out for a little bit?” Then turns into, “Can she spend the night?” Of course we agree and after about three seconds of deliberation my husband and I unanimously decided on delivery. With the food delivery apps available these days you can literally get whatever you want right to your front door! Indeed the next task is deciding on what to have.
How I Decided That Pizza And Wine Sounds Fine
A White?
So now I’m looking at my wine rack and thinking. We could have a full Sauvignon Blanc from Chile with an Asian-Style Chicken Salad, or a Fruited Curry Chicken Salad with a nice fruity Chardonnay from Washington State. Or, my husband and I both really love this refreshing and light Vermentino from Southern France! It went so fantastic with a Pan-fried Grouper and green beans we had once, yummy!
A Red?
I’m thinking it’s more of a red kind of night so I switch gears. Maybe the fabulous bold California Red Zinfandel with some Pork Roast or Chops. Let’s see, the full Argentina Malbec is really great with something simple like Spaghetti and Meatballs. Then it hits me! Pizza! We have the best local Pizza Shoppe, everyone loves pizza, and it goes so great with the Bold and Beautiful Syrah from Argentina! Score!

Like I said, I am exhausted after an extremely busy Valentine’s day week. I grab the three kids each a plate, and paper towels for the hubby and I. Since it’s a special occasion and all, the kids each get a glass of soda and my love grabs us each a glass of delicious fine wine. The big bold flavors of the Syrah went so well with the red sauce on the pizza, not to mention the wave of relaxation that always comes along with a great glass of fine wine! I really enjoy talking with my family over a meal, the laughter that always follows will forever remain in my heart!

After we got the pizza boxes and most of our bottle of yummy fine wine empty, we cleaned up the paper towels and grabbed the Uno Cards! I have so many memories with my Mom and Grandmother playing this fun, simple, and classic card game! Laughing and playing Cards with my kids are the memories that will last forever along with those of my Mom, sister, and Nana! Of course I will always remember Valentine’s day week and the stress and craziness that comes along with it. However, I will also remember the fabulous fine wine my husband and I shared with delicious delivery pizza, laughter, and the fun I got to enjoy with my husband two kids and a friend!

Furthermore, you can heat a frozen pizza in fifteen minutes! It takes my oven that long or longer just to preheat! The Pizza Pizzazz by Presto is the best investment my husband and I have ever made. We bought ours about 20 years ago and I hope it never dies!
This is great for reheating or to cook just about anything from frozen. It has three heating options which is handy depending on what you are cooking or reheating.
There is also a timer on it that shuts it off which helps you to not over cook! I recommend this for busy parents, college students, or tween age kids that want to feed themselves! As far as your Fine Wine goes, put that cork back in or screw the top back on until tomorrow!
